Chris Martin has posted this message which is very interesting. There are two books by W P Hodgkinson – The Eloquent Silence 1946 and The Kingdom Is A Garden 1948, concerning his nature walks and spiritual mystic thinking?

They are set in Worcester by the Severn, in a fictitious village called Ridding. However, there seem to be indications that it is Shrawley – the Wood, Oliver’s Mount, the Lakes, his sketch of the church.” Lucky Don Barton has both books and says you can get them second hand – I found them on Abe Books and Amazon
(I have a copy of the Eloquent silence if you want to borrow it!)
