Robert Burr Bourne that he was 79 years of age and was “well acquainted” with Shrawley Court Estate. He remembered it in the lifetime of his uncle, William Bourne or Shrawley, who died in 1833. After his death all rents and profits were received by his widow, Mary Bourne. She died in 1848, and the rents were then received by her daughter, Jane Bourne, who died on 2nd August 1856, a spinster. Her brother, Robert Bourne, had died a bachelor in May 1845. After the death of Jane Bourne rents had been received by Rev. R.B. Bourne up until present time.
